This template is deprecated. Proposed redirect is discussed here.
Consider using instead:

Usage

Straight usage transcludes the template as expected: {{Vowels}}

Usage

Navigation box for Consonants. It uses (transcludes) the bare tables {{IPA consonant chart}}.

Use variable 'shownonIPA=no' to suppress showing of non-IPA characters:

  • {{IPA consonant chart|shownonIPA=no}} hides non-IPA characters like ᴙ and the corresponding footnote.

Default does show the non-IPA symbols:

  • {{IPA consonant chart|shownonIPA=yes}} corresponds to {{IPA consonant chart}}

Effect on printing

Navigation-boxes are considered for Wikipedia-internal use only, and are never printed. Therefore, if the tables are in-line part of the article (instead of navigational help), this template should not be used. Instead, use the printable {{IPA consonants chart}}..
