This template is a self-reference and so is part of the Wikipedia project rather than the encyclopedic content.

Usage

This template should be used in articles where a term is used that may have multiple definitions or meanings, or no consensus definition or meaning, so that is unclear what is being referred to when using the term. This requests that a definition be provided, so that the meaning of the sentence can be ascertained.

This template will add the article tagged to Category:Wikipedia articles needing clarification or a monthly subcategory thereof.
