To avoid constant editing disputes, Wikipedia agreed a compromise solution which was proposed in 2004, regarding the Derry/Londonderry name dispute. Wikipedia uses Derry for the city and County Londonderry for the county, in article names and content. Exceptions apply for the proper names of organisations and other entities, regardless of whether they use Derry or Londonderry.
