**Nope, no need to change anything, it's commonplace to link the "crashed" in this kind of blurb.  And considering the nomination of the article I've reviewed has already been closed, I don't consider anything here to be actionable.  [[User:The Rambling Man|The Rambling Man]] ([[User talk:The Rambling Man|talk]]) 19:02, 2 February 2014 (UTC)

1971 RAF Hercules crash

Created by The Rambling Man (talk), MilborneOne (talk). Nominated by The Rambling Man (talk) at 22:08, 17 January 2014 (UTC).

  • Reviewed Monument to Captain John Francis Egerton here. The Rambling Man (talk) 22:15, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Article new enough and long enough at time of nomination. I'm concerned about how the target article is laid out in the hook. It seems unlikely that a casual reader reading the hook would click on crashed. I would recommend rewording so that the main article is given preeminence. Also your QPQ is incomplete. You only mention checks for length and newness. A more thorough review needed. EagerToddler39 (talk) 04:46, 26 January 2014 (UTC)
  • ALT1 ... that 46 Italian paratroopers died in the 1971 RAF Hercules crash aboard a British aircraft?
    • Nope, no need to change anything, it's commonplace to link the "crashed" in this kind of blurb. And considering the nomination of the article I've reviewed has already been closed, I don't consider anything here to be actionable. The Rambling Man (talk) 19:02, 2 February 2014 (UTC)
      • I prefer ALT1, as it's more concise and not overlinked. -- Ohc ¡digame! 03:47, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
  • 16px New enough, long enough, well sourced, no copyvio problems. ALT1 is better; less cluttered and a more prominent link. I've struck the original. DoctorKubla (talk) 11:23, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
