1977 Major League Baseball expansion
- ... that, in 1976, U.S. President Gerald Ford tried to prevent Major League Baseball from awarding an expansion franchise to Toronto?
- Reviewed: Template:Did you know nominations/Blauer Enzian Mindmatrix 14:52, 1 March 2013 (UTC)
Created by Mindmatrix (talk). Self nominated at 02:22, 28 February 2013 (UTC).
- ALT1: ... that the Toronto Blue Jays baseball club was enfranchised in the 1977 Major League Baseball expansion after a failed attempt to move the San Francisco Giants to Toronto?
- ALT2: ... that the Seattle Mariners baseball club was enfranchised in the 1977 Major League Baseball expansion to terminate a lawsuit by the city of Seattle against the American League?
- Hooks: All three look good (short enough, cited, and interesting). I do prefer the first one, but any of the three are excellent.
- Article: Long enough, new enough and is well referenced.
