Acer traini

Douglas maple fruits

Created/expanded by Kevmin (talk). Self nom at 22:04, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

  • Symbol question.svg I couldn't find the word "Douglas" in the article. I recognize that it links to Acer glabrum, but if the hook says "Douglas Maple", it should be mentioned in the article, too --Rosiestep (talk) 02:38, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
  • As noted in the Acer glabrum article, Douglas maple is one of the common names for the species. If you really are not comfortable, then going with the binomial will work. --Kevmin § 03:01, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
  • I like the hook, so wondering if putting Douglas Maple in parentheses within the article is a possibility? If not, then I think your suggestion of an ALT1 with the binomial would be a good way to go. --Rosiestep (talk) 00:59, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
  • I've added the parenthetical Douglas Maple suggestion, and a reference to the vernacular name used for A.glabra--Kevmin § 05:01, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
  • Symbol confirmed.svg Length, date, hook's ref verified. All paragraphs have refs; all refs are RS. No apparent paraphrasing issues. QPQ done. Interesting hook. Good go go. --Rosiestep (talk) 01:06, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
