- Article - created new on 30 October, so new enough; 2255 characters of readable prose, so long enough; neutral; at least one inline citation to every paragraph; no copy vios detected skimming as much as I can through snippet view (sources are offline); assessed as C class; no BLP concerns (but he died in 1881).
- Hook - within length criteria at 109 characters; correctly formatted; correctly cited/supported by ref #6 at the end of first para in 'Biography' section, which is the offline source I can get a good preview of; and I certainly found it interesting.
- QPQ done; image license is CC-SA-3.0, so not a problem.
