:*This is just a drive-by comment for now, but I was wondering if a different hook could be suggested here. O'Leary appears to have had quite an interesting life (in particular, the parts about his career as an educator, or even about his anti-communist stance), so a hook simply saying that he was born in Washington sounds fairly bland in comparison. - This is just a drive-by comment for now, but I was wondering if a different hook could be suggested here. O'Leary appears to have had quite an interesting life (in particular, the parts about his career as an educator, or even about his anti-communist stance), so a hook simply saying that he was born in Washington sounds fairly bland in comparison. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:17, 8 October 2019 (UTC)
- Template:Ping The communism bit was really a very minor part of his life. I wonder if that's suitable for DYK. Ergo Sum 03:00, 8 October 2019 (UTC)
- I wasn't saying that we should use that as a hook, only that something better could probably be suggested here. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 03:16, 8 October 2019 (UTC)
- Template:Ping Added an alt hook. Ergo Sum 13:27, 8 October 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks, but this hook is also not very eye-catchy, and I think it's quite similar to a hook you proposed in one of your previous nominations. Maybe a different direction is needed here? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:27, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- Template:Ping Added a third hook. I think of these three, one should probably be workable. Ergo Sum 01:07, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- ALT2 might have potential, but I don't really see how that is something interesting that's unique to O'Leary. When I meant by "different direction", I was thinking perhaps something unrelated to his stint as president of Georgetown University, though perhaps to break the deadlock we could always ask for second opinions or suggestions from other editors. Template:Outdent How about this as a potential alternative? DYK ... as president of Georgetown University, Arthur A. O'Leary traveled around the United States to organize inactive regional chapters of the university's alumni into a national network? OhKayeSierra (talk) 02:27, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- Template:Ping That works for me. Ergo Sum 02:47, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- I wouldn't say it's a spectacular hook, but it's more eye-catching at least than the original proposals. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 09:02, 9 October 2019 (UTC)
- Template:Ping Sounds like we're ready for a full DYK review then? Ergo Sum 15:13, 9 October 2019 (UTC)

Lua error: expandTemplate: template "y" does not exist.
- Template:Ping There is a copyright tag printed in the frontmatter of the book in which the image is located. My understanding, however, is that that copyright applies to the book qua book, not to images that are contained in the book, since often, those are not owned by the book publisher.
