|comments    = {{u|Muboshgu}}, thanks for this nomination. Couple of quick questions. The first hook is cited, verified, and good to go. However, on the second hook, I am not able to verify the hook based on the WaPo obituary. The WaPo article says a) first televised speech from the White House. b) first television transmission from a mobile unit (in the National Mall). c) First coast to coast television transmission for / on ABC. So, the one that comes cloest to the alt hook is the first coast to coast transmission for / on ABC. Were you able to check any other sources to confirm if this coast to coast was in fact nationwide or was it just across a few stations on either coast. Pardon my being pedantic. Secondly, this WaPo article doesn't say anything about first nationwide radio broadcast. Please let me know if I am missing something. The other question I have is regarding the IOU on the QPQ - is there something that I need to do on that front? Cheers.

  • Comment. Hello there. I will be working on this review. This will be my first DYK review. If there is something that is missed procedurally, please let me know. Prelim review completed and notes below.
  • Checklist.
Lua error: expandTemplate: template "y" does not exist.
  • Template:U, nothing for you to do. I'll do the QPQ today and doublecheck on the factuality of my proposed hook too. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:18, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
  • Ok, QPQ is done... – Muboshgu (talk) 18:46, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
Template:U, hello there. When you have a bit can you look at the citation for the second blurb. I am looking forward to completing my first review :) Ktin (talk) 04:04, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
Template:U, my Wiki attention was on the election this past week. The WaPo obituary includes the sentence Template:Tq The other WaPo source says Template:Tq – Muboshgu (talk) 17:57, 8 November 2020 (UTC)
Template:U, Thanks. I did not mean to rush you. 1. Agree on the first coast-to-coast television broadcast. Please can I request you to edit the hook to say "coast to coast" rather than entire United States. The only reason I say this is that we do not know if this was truly all US. Might not have included Alaska, Hawaii etc. But, also, we do not know if it was also broadcast to the other regions within the country. A simple fix would be to use the phrase "coast-to-coast". Hook is definitely interesting.
2. Regarding the first coast-to-coast radio broadcast, the article only says that he did the coast-to-coast radio broadcast. Does not say that this was the first coast-to-coast radio broadcast.
Please let me know if I am missing something pertinent. My thinking is we change the hook to "first coast-to-coast television broadcast".
Cheers. Ktin (talk) 00:35, 9 November 2020 (UTC)
