Burning of women in England

The Burning of Catherine Hayes (1726)

Created by Parrot of Doom (talk). Self nominated at 13:13, 6 March 2014 (UTC).

  • Symbol confirmed.svg This article was moved from the author's userspace into article space today (March 6), so it counts as new enough. At 13 kB prose size it is certainly large enough. The hook doesn't seem to me to be explicitly cited in the article, but there are enough citations for each element (i.e., a citation for burning as a punishment for treason, one for it as a punishment for heresy, etc.) that I think we're good with that too. Very well done. — AJDS talk 15:43, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
  • Thanks. I noticed when adding this DYK that there's some kind of women's event coming up. I wonder if this might be a suitable candidate for inclusion. Parrot of Doom 17:55, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
I moved it - thanks POD Victuallers (talk)
  • Symbol possible vote.svg Nomination lacks required quid pro quo review. A quick check finds the nominator has over five previous DYKs and needs to preform a review before this nomination can be promoted. --Allen3 talk 21:41, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
