Claire Born

  • Comment: Opera singer sings opera roles, yes, but the Bayreuth-Wagner + Salzburg-Mozart connection is rather unusual, and first to sing Wagner then Mozart, as she did. We could also tell the sad story of her having to leave Germany and Austria in the 1930s, but I'd prefer to focus on what she was able to do. There's an image of a Bayreuth plaque, but I guess it's not god in small size.
