Danish sculpture
- ... that a key figure in the early development of Danish sculpture was Frenchman Jacques Saly, invited in 1752 to create a statue (pictured) of King Frederik V?
- Comment: ALT1 ... that while Bertel Thorvaldsen later became a leading international figure, Danish sculpture was in fact introduced by a Frenchman, Jacques Saly, in 1752?

- A very nice article overall; it more than meets the length and recency requirements, it's well-written and well-laid out. AGF on the Danish-language sources but at first sight they seem OK. - ALT2 ... that the development of Danish sculpture was greatly influenced by a statue (pictured) of King Frederick V designed by Jacques Saly, a Frenchman?
- Sounds good but not historically correct as its was Saly's presidency at the Academy which caused the change. I would therefore suggest, along the same lines: - Ipigott (talk) 15:48, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
- ALT3 ... that the development of Danish sculpture was greatly influenced by Jacques Saly, a Frenchman, who designed the statue (pictured) of King Frederick V?
