I checked all the references and found no plagiarism or close paraphrasing. The article is short but clean and to the point. I think that ALT 1 is best, even though it's a tad boring, since the comment by this Idaho Congressperson is just that, a jingoistic comment by a former Idaho Congressperson, and we shouldn't give front-page credibility to these remarks.
