Gao Xiaoxia
- ... that just before the US government banned Chinese students from returning home, Gao Xiaoxia abandoned her Ph.D. studies and left America in 1951 on one of the last China-bound ships? Gao Xiaoxia and he immediately decided to return to China even though she was just about to get her PhD. ... boarded the "General Gordon" cruise, which was the one of the last three cruises heading toward China right before the act was put into force."
