Golden-winged Sunbird
- ... that the range of the Golden-winged Sunbird coincides with its major food item, the mint Leonotis nepetifolia (both pictured)?

Problems. The feeding section only refers to East Africa and the birds range is also Central Africa (see the articles introduction which says it lives in the Congo). This inconsistency could easily lead to doubts about the hook of the DYK. I think that the references all need checking and the article needs to be more internally consistent. I think that the range needs referencing. Snowman (talk) 12:59, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
- Update - cited the[citation needed] tag and realigned the information - essentially alot of the study info comes from studies in Kenya, so tweaked wording to show this. Casliber (talk · contribs) 14:31, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
- I am glad that you have found useful sources. It sounds that you can now amend the range mentioned in the feeding section and make it consistent with the rest of the article, which would make the hook usable, if the hook is correct. In anticipation of fixes, I have struck this out as a problem. Incidentally, I think that the image is ideally suited to the hook. Snowman (talk) 14:35, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
- I rejigged the wording so that it showed that although the discussion was in Kenya, it did not imply that the birds exclusively lived there. Do you think that is more clear or still misleading from the way I have rejigged it? Casliber (talk · contribs) 21:16, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
- Without seeing the sources, I think that I would like a little more clarity. I am finding the location given as "East Africa" to be rather vague, and I am not sure if eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo is in central Africa or East Africa. Perhaps, it would be clearer if you said something like; "Studies in Kenya showed that ..." Snowman (talk) 22:08, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
