Hebrides Terrace Seamount
- ... that "coral gardens" hosting numerous animals are found on Hebrides Terrace Seamount west-southwest of the Hebrides? The final site was theHebrides Terrace Seamount (HTS), which is found in approximately2000 m water depth near the continental slope (Fig. 1a). Novel visualsurveys of the seamount benthos have revealed previously unknown‘coral garden’ habitats some of which are structured by the colonialscleractinianSolenosmilia variabilis(Fig. 1f).
