:* Hook is inline cited (to the paragraph level, which I think is okay?) to a book that appears to be RS but I will have to give GF to as it's offline. Article is new enough, NPOV, no obvious signs of copyvio. QPQ done. Image is labeled as PD. Hook and article are long enough. The hook is interesting and, sadly, I was not familiar with the work of Anselm Feuerbach before reading it but am now quite interested in him, so Henriette Feuerbach's teleological purpose in promoting his work appears to be carrying on 125 years after her death, here on WP's DYK.  Chetsford (talk) 23:39, 5 April 2018 (UTC)

 • ... that Henriette Feuerbach (pictured) wrote books for women and promoted the art of her stepson Anselm Feuerbach after his death? Source: "You are strongly encouraged to quote the source text supporting each hook" (and [link] the source, or cite it briefly without using citation templates)

Created by Gerda Arendt (talk). Self-nominated at 17:01, 31 March 2018 (UTC).

 • Symbol voting keep.svg Hook is inline cited (to the paragraph level, which I think is okay?) to a book that appears to be RS but I will have to give GF to as it's offline.
The normal thing when translating, - book sources that I don't have. I just finished replies for my FAC, and am too tired now. Planning to search because this is an important woman. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:07, 28 April 2018 (UTC)
I added some, and commented out a line for which I found nothing (although it's probably true). We have all these historic biographies about the men around her, including Brahms ... --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:29, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
 • Thank you. I added some English-language sources. I would add this to the original hook:
 • ALT0a: ... that Henriette Feuerbach (pictured) wrote books for women and promoted the art of her stepson Anselm Feuerbach before and after his death?
 • Also suggesting an alt hook:
 • ALT1: ... that the German author and patron of the arts Henriette Feuerbach (pictured) had a warm friendship with Johannes Brahms, who dedicated his work Nänie to her? Yoninah (talk) 00:07, 30 April 2018 (UTC)
Thank you for adding sources! - I like ALT1 but will reserve it for Nänie, planned (long-term) for GA. I believe that the relationship to her stepson needs to be mentioned, especially if (hopefully) the image goes along. How is this:
ALT2: ... that Henriette Feuerbach (pictured) wrote books for women and promoted the art of her stepson, the painter Anselm Feuerbach?
 • Symbol voting keep.svg OK. Restoring tick for ALT2. Yoninah (talk) 11:24, 30 April 2018 (UTC)
