... that Hermann Reutter, director of music academies in Frankfurt and in Stuttgart, composed a "Hymne an Deutschland" which President Theodor Heuss suggested as a new German national anthem after World War II?Source: several

Within policy, long enough, 5x expanded ending on the indicated day. I reviewed the two major references (in German) and can vouch that the article is not a translation. Hook is relevant but a tad long-exactly 200 characters, if I counted correctly. Waiting for a review to tick this off, and suggesting ALT1:. --Pgallert (talk) 15:43, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
- ALT1: ... that music academy director Hermann Reutter composed a "Hymne an Deutschland" which President Theodor Heuss suggested as a new German national anthem after World War II? Source: same as original hook
- And another suggestion, if I may: Even though he was a Nazi Party member, some of his music was categorised as degenerate, writes German Wikipedia. Would be a nice addition. Cheers, Pgallert (talk) 15:43, 20 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the suggestion, but that's not as unique as the hymn (inspite of having served in Nazi Germany).
- ALT2:
... that Hermann Reutter, director of Dr. Hoch's Konservatorium in Frankfurt in the 1930s, composed a "Hymne an Deutschland" after World War II which President Theodor Heuss suggested as a new German national anthem? - I reviewed now Template:Did you know nominations/Roderick Jones (1877–1962), second article. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:28, 24 April 2020 (UTC)
- So the review is done. The suggestion was for the article, as it does not mention it. ALT2 is supported by the sources, but it is even longer than the original hook (ALT1 can't be approved by me, as I suggested it). --Pgallert (talk) 13:25, 25 April 2020 (UTC)
Reviewer needed to check ALT1 (and any new alts that may be suggested below). Original hook (206 characters, not 200) and ALT2 (212 characters) have been struck due to length issues, and I think there was too much information being included, reducing the interest that the main point of the national anthem brings.
