FYI, this is technically a new creation and not an expansion (you nominated it only four days after creating it), but it's definitely long and new enough. All your sources are solid: most are published by university presses, one's by Brill Publishers, and the other's by specialist Hugh N. Kennedy. Hook's in the article (although it requires a little bit of reading to find it; it's not that clear), and the hook here is fine. This by itself isn't enough reason to hold up the nomination (thus I'm approving it), but it would be much better if you'd separate out your references so that each statement has a single source, instead of having pieces of text depending on two or even three sources, e.g. "...forced him to recognize Tulunid control".
