:::The original image apparently is 17th-century artwork that was apparently in a book published in 1885. That qualifies it as PD for U.S. purposes. It was uploaded to Commons about a year ago. Commons showed an error message on the license when I first saw it there. I got frustrated [http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Bureau,_Jean.JPG&diff=93996530&oldid=69530129 working with the PD-ART templates at Commons] (templates I'm not familiar with), but I did manage to eliminate the error message. Maybe somebody else can figure out which additional templates are needed there.  --[[User:Orlady|Orlady]] ([[User talk:Orlady|talk]]) 20:04, 7 April 2013 (UTC)

  • Symbol confirmed.svg Articlce's length, date of posting and hook reference are all ok. No copy vio. Image is free except that it does not have United States public domain tag. I am not sure if it is required if the article is decided to to be taken to the lead. Otherwise, good to go.--Nvvchar. 13:42, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
The original image apparently is 17th-century artwork that was apparently in a book published in 1885. That qualifies it as PD for U.S. purposes. It was uploaded to Commons about a year ago. Commons showed an error message on the license when I first saw it there. I got frustrated working with the PD-ART templates at Commons (templates I'm not familiar with), but I did manage to eliminate the error message. Maybe somebody else can figure out which additional templates are needed there. --Orlady (talk) 20:04, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
