:::Thanks! Please feel free to expand the lead yourself - I had a look when I saw this, and it remains substantially as it was when I started expanding the article, but I can't really see what to add. He wrote a heck of a lot, but ''Emmerdale Farm'' is what he's best known for (and runner up seems to be, for writing about sex and using rude words in plays, neither of which was extraordinary on the London stage in the 60s and 70s and plus that's not a nice thing to highlight :-) If he'd lived longer he might have added fame for writing novels, but there's only the one. . . . BTW, which hook do you like best? [[User:Yngvadottir|Yngvadottir]] ([[User talk:Yngvadottir|talk]]) 21:24, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Kevin Laffan

  • ... that dramatist Kevin Laffan could not find a publisher for his first novel, Pendle's Disposal, but had two offers within a week of changing the title to Virgins are in Short Supply?

Created/expanded by Yngvadottir (talk). Self nom at 18:38, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

  • ALT1 ... that playwright and television writer Kevin Laffan claimed to have escaped the workhouse at age 12 by jumping off the lorry as it went through the gates?
  • ALT2 ... that Kevin Laffan wrote the first 26 episodes of the British soap opera Emmerdale Farm and stayed on to write 262, but then left because the producers wanted "sex, sin and sensationalism"? Yngvadottir (talk) 18:43, 11 May 2012 (UTC)
I have now reviewed Havo voor Muziek en Dans. Yngvadottir (talk) 20:52, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
