:* Nice expansion of the article! I spent more than a week in Jerusalem, and walked this pedestrian street at least a dozen times to and from the old city. This brings lots of good memories! A couple problems though: I can't find any source that says the project was frozen from 1999 to 2007. In fact, the two sources cited in support of the statement both dated to 2005. Also, no source seems to describe the mall as "upscale". It does feel upscale, but we need a source to say that. I also suggest including a picture. It'd be nice to see Jaffa Gate on the main page! -Zanhe (talk) 03:44, 18 October 2014 (UTC) | :* Nice expansion of the article! Mamilla Mall
... that the developer of Jerusalem's upscale Mamilla Mall froze the project for eight years, leaving a swath of half-finished buildings and construction cranes in clear view of the Old City Walls?

Nice expansion of the article! -Zanhe (talk) 03:44, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for your review. As it was also unclear to me exactly how many years construction was frozen, I edited out those dates in the article. I'd like to propose this alt:
- ALT1:
... that Jerusalem's upscale Mamilla Mall (pictured) took 37 years to build? - I added several sources that describe it as "upscale". Regarding the picture, do you think this nighttime shot, which is the best image on Commons, will show up well in a small format? Yoninah (talk) 22:58, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the new hook, but I think it's not completely accurate. According to the gilzohar source, construction only began in 1986, so strictly speaking it took 21 years, not 37 to build. It'll be more accurate to say it was completed more than 37 years after the project began. The photo looks good, IMO. -Zanhe (talk) 04:28, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
- OK, I'll stop trying to be subtle and try to come up with a regular hook. How about:

- Alternately, with a daytime picture:
