:::* Hi, I came by to promote this, but have a question about the sourcing. The lead and article say this is the "first" 3D printer for glass, but this fact is not backed up by the citation in the lead (footnote 6, which really doesn't say anything at all) or footnote 40 (in the article). Also, the second paragraph under "Organic and natural fabrication" lacks any citation, per Rule D2. The last sentence of the introductory paragraph under "Exhibited works" also introduces a fact that is not mentioned in the list, so this also needs an inline cite. :::: Hi Yoninah, all good catches, thank you. It seems the first printer for molten glass, hard and transparent when it cools. + | :::::* Yes, that sounds good. I added ALT1 to restore the thread and added "the first" to it. ALT1 hook ref verified and cited inline. Rest of review per EricEnfermero. Yoninah (talk) 21:48, 19 March 2017 (UTC) | ||

The G3DP glass printing process
... that in 2015, Neri Oxman's architecture group and MIT's Glass Lab built a 3D printer for glass (video pictured)?
- Source: "Working with MIT's Glass Lab and researchers at the Wyss Institute, Mediated Matter developed G3DP, the first 3D printer for glass, in 2015."
- ALT1: ... that in 2015, Neri OxmanTemplate:`s architecture group and MIT's Glass Lab built the first 3D printer for optically transparent glass (video pictured)?
- Comment: There are other potential hooks for the article, but this video has a DYK feel.
Improved to Good Article status on March 9 by Sj (talk). Self-nominated at 21:01, 10 March 2017 (UTC).
Article is new enough (promoted to GA status the day before nomination), long enough and within policy (neutral, well-sourced, no copyvios seen on spot checks of the text). The hook is short enough, accurate, neutral, cited and should be highly interesting to a broad audience.
We just need a QPQ.EricEnfermero (Talk) 03:42, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
Never mind. QPQ Check is not showing any DYK credits for the nominator. If that's right, we are good to go. Adding that I have never been involved with a video at a DYK nom, but it shows up well, appears in the article, is appropriately licensed and looks like a great addition to DYK.
