:* Interesting article. You think you know everything about Levantine (or Hejazi!) history and then something like this comes along. The article is well-sourced, long enough, new enough and the QPQ is done. The map appears free and is relevant to the article subject. I believe the hook will pass muster, though personally I think it's too vague—then again, it serves the purpose of enticing readers to click the article link. I did some minor copyeditting. Could you guys standardize the footnotes? You have some inline citations that are full references when they should be abbreviated since there's a Bibliography (notes 1, 2, 10, 13, 14, 15, 16, 25); Note 23 needs to be fixed. If you're going harvard style, then this should be applied to all the refs (at least those citing books and journals). Since it will be featured on the Mainpage, the current mess should be avoided. Once that's done, I'd be happy to pass. --Al Ameer (talk) 15:10, 2 June 2019 (UTC)
