Orange, Red, Yellow
- ... that Mark Rothko's Orange, Red, Yellow set a world record auction price for contemporary art, Post-War art and for Abstract Expressionist art of $86.9 million on May 8, 2012?

Article is new enough, long enough, and well-referenced. However, I could not find a reference that verifies the hook fact that it "set a world record auction price for Post-War art and for Abstract Expressionist art". The NYT article only says it set a record for contemporary art. Also the QPQ is missing. -Zanhe (talk) 23:45, 21 May 2012 (UTC)
- refs mad clear and contemporary art added to the hook.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 00:11, 22 May 2012 (UTC)

- (ALT1)... that Mark Rothko's Orange, Red, Yellow set a world record auction price for contemporary art and for Post-War art of $86.9 million on May 8, 2012?--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:38, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
- According to the contemporary art article, contemporary art is defined as art created after WWII. So it's redundant to mention both. How about:
- ALT2 ... that Mark Rothko's Orange, Red, Yellow was sold on May 8, 2012 for $86.9 million, a world record auction price for contemporary art?
