16px Impressive article, on good sources, offline sources accepted AGF, no copyvio obvious. - Hook question: For more prominence of the bolded article, it's a good idea to have that upfront in a hook. If you just want to raise interest, perhaps don't even mention the vents, just "black smokers". The (pictured) needs to go to what is pictured, and the caption is too long. It needs to fit under the small image. - The image is licensed and a good illustration. - Article questions: DYK requests at least an inline citation at the end of each paragraph, - some are still without. Thank you for ALT1 and ALT2, and the citations. I got ALT1 down and dropped a comma, and gave ALT2 a name and added a comma. I like both better than the original, so strike that.

I wonder if the year helps to make it more attractive. If yes, why at the beginning? Can a project discover? (I'm not a native speaker of English.) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 06:18, 20 May 2019 (UTC)

Template:Reply to Hi Gerda. I like ALT2 best. To answer your question, yes the project as a proper noun like a person's name, can discover. Stating the year tells readers this project is historic (40 years ago!). I added scientific impact to the lead - good suggestion. Are we 'Good to Go'? BrucePL (talk) 22:31, 20 May 2019 (UTC)
