::*I added a reference for the first round pick. I'm not convinced that the name is spelled incorrectly. Canada.com gives one spelling, but the vast majority of sources use "iu". This includes NHL.com, hockey-reference.com, WHL.ca, ''The Hockey News'', HockeyDB.com, and the ''Cranbrook Daily Townsman'' (the newspaper of the city in which he spent much of his adult life). Both the Boquete Panama Guide and ''Flin Flon Online'' use both spellings in the same article, so that leaves Canada.com as the only source that uses "ui" consistently. - ... that NHL first-round draft pick Ray Martyniuk ended his final full season by stopping the team bus and throwing his gear into Moyie Lake?

You also apparently misspelled his name. "Martynuik" isn't an "alternate spelling": it's the only spelling and the other one is just lazy sportswriters getting it wrong. - Again, it's not just an "alternate spelling" and your Canada.com source doesn't just use it more "consistently" than the others: it very pointedly states "The goalie should have known he was on thin ice when every newspaper in town misspelled his name "Martyniuk." Assuming that this is a Template:Sc, the others are simply wrong. I don't really want to post overly personal info here, but you can also confirm via Google that Judy A Martynuik lives in Cranbrook and doesn't misspell her own name. As this page will be one of his major legacies, it shouldn't be perpetuating the misspelling at all (except to debunk it), much less using it for its title. — LlywelynII 15:17, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
