::::{{ping|Gerda Arendt}} Jeez, that article is indeed a mess. It'll need some serious reconstruction (which to me is more time-consuming and complicated than new construction) and my plate's kind of full at the moment. Would it be ok, assuming I find a better source, to de-link "al-Khudr" since the shrine is really dedicated to Saint George, who is referred to as "al-Khudr/al-Khidr/al-Khader" by Levantine Arabs and who is also linked in the hook? --[[User:Al Ameer son|Al Ameer]] ([[User talk:Al Ameer son|talk]]) 18:21, 21 April 2016 (UTC)

Sahwat al-Khudr

Moved to mainspace by Al Ameer son (talk) and Huldra (talk). Nominated by Al Ameer son (talk) at 19:31, 19 April 2016 (UTC).

Symbol question.svg Nice short article, on good sources. Article: I'd think that the nearby other villages are no lead material, but should be in the body. In the lead, rather write more about historic significance. I hesitate regarding the hook, because the linked article has several problems. Anything else? The inscriptions? The quote by the French geographer? - Do you intentionally not say that it's a village? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:28, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
Template:Ping Will revise the lead. I'm assuming the problem with the hook cite is that it's a primary source from the 19th century. I'll try to find an alternative source because I like the hook and more importantly, I think it's the most interesting item in the article. If not, I'll propose an alternative hook about the Byzantine-era inscriptions. --Al Ameer (talk) 22:28, 20 April 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for the review! Understand that you like the hook ;) - Can you improve al-Khudr? To link to an article with so many tags is not ideal. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 05:01, 21 April 2016 (UTC)
Template:Ping Jeez, that article is indeed a mess. --Al Ameer (talk) 18:21, 21 April 2016 (UTC)
That's a good idea!
ALT1: ... that Sahwat al-Khudr is named after an ancient Byzantine church in the village dedicated to Saint George, who is known to Muslims as al-Khudr"?
