- Hi CoryGlee, a full review will be done later. I found a local news report that he attended the vigil this year, and I added that information to the article. Right now I suggest changing his position at HKBU to "Hong Kong pro-democracy activist" as it probably will make more sense for the broader audience. Corachow (talk) 01:54, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
- Template:U Hi friend ^_^, pardon, I don't fully understand English, do you mean changing the hook to "pro-democracy activist"? Thank you! CoryGlee (talk) 11:47, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
- Template:U, that's what I mean. I don't think most people understand how important do student union leader in HK is. Corachow (talk) 11:51, 16 July 2020 (UTC)

- Template:U Hi! and thanks for your review!, I changed the hook again to make it clear he changed position and made it clear that in 2015 he was only an activist, he became political this year losing to Sham Tsz-kit as noted. I beg your pardon if the hook is confusing but as I said above my English is not the best, you are free to make me any further correction, and thank you again. CoryGlee (talk) 16:46, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
- Template:U, the hook has to be within 200 characters, even without mentioning this year, it is still too long, so I apologise for not noticing this earlier. I guess it's fine to not mention 2020, but the original hook still has to be shortened. Corachow (talk) 16:57, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
- No problem at all Template:U!, Since my English is poor I changed the hook with a different issue. Do you agree? CoryGlee (talk) 17:05, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
- I don't think this one works. He still gets to run for the general election, so he did not lose, just came in second. Here's a rephrased version of your original hook (which you removed):
- ALT1: ... that in 2015, Hong Kong pro-democracy activist Sunny Cheung (pictured) did not attend the vigil for the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests due to its "underlying notion that we’re all Chinese"? Source: "Many of us dislike the vigil’s underlying notion that we’re all Chinese, explained Sunny Cheung, a 19-year-old leader of the student union of Hong Kong Baptist University" Source NYT Corachow (talk) 17:13, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
- Template:U, sure my friend!, yes, I changed because my English is poor and I'm horrible connecting words. I am all in for your ALT1!, all your credit! :-) ^_^ CoryGlee (talk) 17:15, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
Now we need someone else have to review this. For the new reviewer, ALT1 is based on the original hook, which was removed, please see the history for that. Do I need to do a QPQ? Corachow (talk) 17:24, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
- If I may opine, it would be unfair to make Corachow review a QPQ, it was entirely my fault that I didn't know how to put an ALT1. That's why I removed the original hook. CoryGlee (talk) 17:31, 17 July 2020 (UTC)
- Since CoryGlee is the nominator and this is their first DYK nomination, no QPQ is needed. It doesn't matter that Corachow added an ALT hook, insofar as the QPQ is concerned, just who nominated. We do need a new reviewer, as noted above, since ALT1 was suggested by Corachow. BlueMoonset (talk) 18:00, 30 July 2020 (UTC)
- ALT2: ... that Hong Kong pro-democracy activist Sunny Cheung (pictured) once said, "we want to build a democratic Hong Kong. It’s not our responsibility to build a democratic China"? [1] --evrik (talk) 19:04, 2 August 2020 (UTC)
