:::hmmm.. the article's lede says " it is considered to be ''either'' Queen Anne Revival or Arts and Crafts" and then never mentions Arts and Crafts in the main article or offers a reference for this fact. Even if it was reffed this isn't what the hook says. [[User:Victuallers|Victuallers]] ([[User talk:Victuallers|talk]]) 11:39, 10 December 2013 (UTC)

Swan House (Chelsea Embankment)

Swan House (detail)

  • ... that Swan House (pictured) in London, a "masterpiece", was built on the site of the Swan Inn frequented by diarist Samuel Pepys?

Created by Missivonne (talk), Edwardx (talk), Gareth E Kegg (talk). Nominated by Edwardx (talk) at 17:27, 7 December 2013 (UTC).

  • Symbol question.svg Length fine, age fine, no obvious paraphrasing identified. However the hook relies on p199 of a book which I can only see a snippet of .... however, my understanding from that snippet is that Pepys visited and found it closed due to the plague in 1666 - this is not evidence of "frequenting" I think. Have I missed something? Victuallers (talk) 16:50, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
  • You're right - I can find no solid evidence either. And the Swan Inn was a common name - it appears that there were two on the Chelsea riverside alone [1]. So, I'll need to come up with a new hook... Edwardx (talk) 18:03, 9 December 2013 (UTC)

hmmm.. the article's lede says " it is considered to be either Queen Anne Revival or Arts and Crafts" and then never mentions Arts and Crafts in the main article or offers a reference for this fact. Even if it was reffed this isn't what the hook says. Victuallers (talk) 11:39, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
