:* ''Comment'': Recreated from an article deleted six years ago. I would like this to run on '''May 12''', the tenth anniversary of Sampley's death, as the hooks suggest. I know I often criticize hooks like the main one, because it's usually more about the person being quoted, but in this case I think it's warranted as McCain did not say that sort of thing lightly; he was known to be forgiving to most of his adversaries (even, as Sampley noted in response, his torturers in Vietnam)

:* [[File:Symbol confirmed.svg|16px]] This is quite an article! 5x expansion verified. New enough, long enough, well referenced, neutrally written, no close paraphrasing seen. ALT1 is very hooky, verified, and cited inline. I'm striking ALT0 because it is too negative, and a cursory reader is not going to think, "Oh, but John McCain hardly ever talked like that". Ted Sampley

  • Reviewed: Mubarez-ud-Daulah
  • Comment: Recreated from an article deleted six years ago. I would like this to run on May 12, the tenth anniversary of Sampley's death, as the hooks suggest. I know I often criticize hooks like the main one, because it's usually more about the person being quoted, but in this case I think it's warranted as McCain did not say that sort of thing lightly; he was known to be forgiving to most of his adversaries (even, as Sampley noted in response, his torturers in Vietnam)

Created by Daniel Case (talk) and Bri (talk). Nominated by Daniel Case (talk) at 04:00, 3 May 2019 (UTC).
