The Skull of Alum Bheg

  • ... that in 1963, The Skull of Alum Bheg, an Indian soldier who was blown from a cannon in 1857, was found in a pub in Kent? A skull found in a pub in Kent in 1963. A handwritten note inserted in an eye socket: “Skull of Haviladar Alum Bheg 46th Bengal N Infantry who was blown away from a gun" [1]
    • ALT1:... that Kim A. Wagner used The Skull of Alum Bheg to tell the story of thousands of Indian soldiers? The absence enabled Wagner to use it as a jumping-board to tell the story of "thousands of Indian soldiers" like Alum Bheg, who revolted in 1857. [2]
