Tropical Storm Lidia (2017)
... that heavy rainfall from Tropical Storm Lidia left a sinkhole measuring at least 33 ft (10 m) in width and 23 ft (7.0 m) in depth in Mexico City?

Template:U New, in time, long enough, sourced, inline hook citation checks out, no apparent copyvios. Needs QPQ, and citations in the "Current storm information" section. Also, DYK rules state "No parentheses in the hook unless absolutely unavoidable." How about rephrasing its size to something like "a sinkhole engulfing an entire central street"? Multiple news organization (example) show that it did. --Usernameunique (talk) 04:24, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
- Did a QPQ. The Current storm information section has been removed because the storm is no longer active. I changed the hook to your suggestion:
- ALT1: ... that heavy rainfall from Tropical Storm Lidia left a a sinkhole engulfing an entire central street in Mexico City? --12george1 (talk) 20:21, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
Looks good, thanks. --Usernameunique (talk) 22:40, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
Template:Ping thanks for your great hook wording, but since you added new information, you can't approve your own hook per Rule H2. Calling on new reviewer to approve ALT1. Yoninah (talk) 23:11, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for being alert to that Template:U! However, ALT1 was actually proposed by Template:U. Unless you're referring to the fact that I suggested how to rephrase it in my review? --Usernameunique (talk) 23:19, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
- That's why I restored the thread. His original hook mentions the sinkhole, but not the fact that it covered an entire central street. He wrote ALT1 based on your suggestion. Yoninah (talk) 23:21, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
- Template:U I think it's a grey area since I didn't propose the actual hook, but I see your point. If you have an interest in looking ALT1 over the two inline citations are: one, two. --Usernameunique (talk) 23:39, 3 September 2017 (UTC)
