| This is a documentation subpage for Template:Discussion notice. It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
Template:Substonly This template is used to inform editors that they are being discussed on the administrative noticeboards. Note that this applies to ALL types of users, whether they be an admin, a new user, or an anon IP.
This template does not necessarily imply wrongdoing on the part of an editor; all editors who are merely involved in a behavioral dispute (e.g. previous blocking administrators of blocked users) can and must also be notified.
Usage
{{subst:discussion notice|topic|page=page of discussion|reason=reason for discussion|thread=thread name of the discussion}}~~~~
Parameters
- topic – optional parameter that links to the page being discussed
- thread – optional parameter that links to thread that user is being discussed at
- page – the page where the discussion is taking place
- noticeboard – same as the page parameter
- reason - a parameter that can be changed to reflect a more specific reason why the editor is being discussed
