This template is intended to allow simple standardized links to handle system identifiers (HDLs).

If you do wish to use this template, the basic usage is:

{{hdl|1808/3638}}

which produces:

hdl:1808/3638Template:Only in print

The template supports all symbols found in HDLs, including [];<>.
