This template is intended for use in language-family articles, where there are lists of unlinked or redlinked language names which are not likely to have dedicated articles any time soon—especially if our classification differs from that of Ethnologue, so simply linking to the family is not informative. See for example Cariban languages#Family division.

Usage

First parameter will display, second parameter links to Ethnologue through the ISO639-3 code. For example,

{{ethnolink|Arára|aap}}

produces:

aap,

which links to the Arára page at Ethnologue.
