If you need a test image for permanent demonstration purposes, then instead use for instance the PNG image.

Template documentation[view] [edit] [history] [purge]

This is the {{example files}} notice box.

It can be placed on the "example" file's description pages and at the top of their talk pages. It explains how and when the example files should and shouldn't be used. At least the images have constantly been confusing people, so an explanation is needed.
