Usage

This template expands a name to link to the appropriate article about a railway station in France, without displaying "Gare de" (or "Gare d'", in case of an elision).

For example:

{{Gare|Paris-Est}} expands to [[Gare de Paris-Est|Paris-Est]].

{{Gare|Austerlitz}} expands to [[Gare d'Austerlitz|Austerlitz]].

Discretion should be used on whether to name the place itself or the station that serves it. In railway articles it is generally preferred to use the station unless specifically talking about the place served, for example that Caen serves Caen.

Most French station articles follow the link form of starting with "Gare de" or "Gare d'".
