Usage

For use in articles about comic book series, this template links to the corresponding article on the Grand Comic-Book Database.

Instructions

  1. Go to comics.org and search for the series you want.
  2. Click on the link for the series' page. Be sure you're getting the correct series.
  3. The page URL should look like http://www.comics.org/series.lasso?seriesid=#######, where "#######" indicates a number.
  4. Copy ONLY the number.
  5. Add the text:
{{GCD|seriesid=#######|title=Title}}
where "#######" is the number you've copied, and "Title" is the series title.

Example

  1. If you search at GCD for "New Avengers", you will reach this page: http://www.comics.org/series.lasso?seriesid=12464
  2. Copy "12464" and then write:
{{GCD|seriesid=12464|title=New Avengers}}

The result is: '.

Because this will most likely go into an external links section, you should add an asterisk (*)before the template text to include it as a list item.
