Parameters

Parameter Explanation
domain This is the domain name of the results url. The two main URLs used are isufs.org (approx 2003 through 2008) and isuresults.com
id This is the competition identifier. It will contain both letters and numbers. It is what follows the / in the competition URL. The URL for the ISU results page for the 2008 World Championships was http://www.isufs.org/results/wc2008, and so the competition identifier was "wc2008".

The naming convention the ISU uses

  • OWG for the Olympic Winter Games
  • WC for World Championships
  • WJC for World Junior Championships
  • EC for European Championships
  • FC for Four Continents Championships
  • GP for Grand Prix
    • The two letter GP abbreviation is then followed by the three letter IOC Country Code for the country. Therefore:
      • gpusa is Skate America
      • gpcan is Skate Canada International
      • gpchn is Cup of China
      • gpfra is Trophée Eric Bompard
      • gprus is Cup of Russia
      • gpjpn is NHK Trophy
    • gpf is the Grand Prix Final.
  • JGP for the Junior Grand Prix
    • The three letter JGP abbreviation is then followed by the three letter IOC Country Code for the country.
    • jgpf is the Junior Grand Prix Final

The letter abbreviation is then followed by a two or four number code for either the year or the skating season of the competition.
The numbering convention used varies between the four number year code (ex: 2008) and the two number year code (ex: 08). The four number year code is for ISU Championships and individual Junior Grand Prix events. The two year is used for Grand Prix events. In the cases of Grand Prix Final and the Junior Grand Prix Final, the ISU uses the two number year codes for the season. The Grand Prix Final for the 2007-2008 seaon was abbreviated as "gpf0708". The Junior Grand Prix Final for the 2006-2007 season was abbreviated as "jgpf0607".

name The name of the competition. It defaults to the name of the article.
