| This is a documentation subpage for Template:ITunes Preview App. It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
This is a template to generate links to iTunes Preview. This template should be used exclusively for Apps on the Apple App Store.
Usage
- 1. Go to the app's iTunes Preview Page.
- 2. Copy only the numbers at the end of the url ignore the id in front of the numbers.
- 3. The page URL should look like http://itunes.apple.com/app/id#########, where "#########" indicates a number.
- 4. Add to the external links section the text:
{{ITunes Preview App|#######|Name}}
where "#########" is the number you've copied, and "Name" is the name of the iOS application.
Example
- On the page Infinity Blade, preview {{iTunes Preview App}} and search using the link "Infinity Blade" produced. You'll get to this page: http://itunes.apple.com/app/infinity-blade/id387428400
- Copy "87428400" and then add this number as parameter:
- {{iTunes Preview App|387428400}}
The result on the page Alpha Dog is:
- Infinity Blade on the App StoreScript error: No such module "EditAtWikidata".Template:WikidataCheck.
Typically this is a list item in the external links section (even if there is only one link), so you should add "*" in front.
