Usage
This template is designed to replace banner templates of inactive WikiProjects. This results in a reduced-size banner on uses of the template and a message explaining that the project is inactive.
The easiest way to convert a banner template to an inactive state, is to replace WPBannerMeta with WPBannerMeta/inactive.
Parameters
The only required parameters are:
- PROJECT - the name of the WikiProject (but without the word "WikiProject")
- BANNER_NAME - the page name of the banner template
- category - should be passed to allow category optout, i.e.
|category={{{category|}}}
However all the other Template:WPBannerMeta parameters can and should be retained, as this will make it easier to "revive" the project in the future.
Example
{{WPBannerMeta/inactive
|PROJECT = Extreme sports
|BANNER_NAME = Template:WikiProject Extreme sports
|category={{{category|}}}
}}
produces: Template:WPBannerMeta/inactive When inside a banner shell the result is: Template:WikiProjectBannerShell
