Include this template into a page when you want to create a {{graphical timeline}}.
First use
Press preview to generate a link to the new timeline page, and brief instructions on how to create the timeline.
Once the timeline's created...
Save the article page. The template will then automatically embed the new timeline in in the article, keeping the code safely tucked away elsewhere where it can be easily edited.
Setting the timeline name
The template automatically created a link to a template page called PAGENAME graphical timeline, where the timeline is stored. If you want to change the name of the timeline, for example because you are including two timelines in an article, use {{include timeline|NAME}}, which will use the page NAME graphical timeline.
