Template documentation[view] [edit] [history] [purge]

This sub-template returns the associated country's CPI for a specific year. It's used by {{Inflation/CA}} for calculating the inflation rate between two given years, which in turn is used by {{Inflation}} to calculate inflated values. It usually isn't meant to be called directly. The information in this dataset is manually input from:

  • "Consumer Price Index, annual average, not seasonally adjusted". Statistics Canada. Retrieved March 6, 2019.
  • "Consumer Price Index by product group, monthly, percentage change, not seasonally adjusted, Canada, provinces, Whitehorse, Yellowknife and Iqaluit". Statistics Canada. Retrieved March 6, 2019.

Usage

{{Inflation/CA/dataset|year}}

Providing no parameter or providing an invalid parameter will result in the "default" CPI, what usually means the latest one.
