Description
- Name: the brand and model name or brand and model series used in its original or primary market of the subject vehicle
- Image: a front three-quarter view (the vehicle parked at an angle relative to the photographer so that the photo shows the front and side of the vehicle) preferably taken against a non-distracting background, containing no other vehicles and with the sun shining from behind the photographer
- Caption: description of the infobox image if clarification or disambiguation is required
- Manufacturer: the entity responsible for the vehicle's development, although not necessarily the company that physically assembles the vehicle
- Aka: other names of the subject vehicle - See Notes below for guidance on "Aka" vs. "Related".
- Model years: the model years during which the subject vehicle was marketed - do not use months or half-years
- Production: calendar year (not model year) range during which the subject vehicle was produced - months are recommended if available, but exact dates are discouraged
- Assembly: cities and countries in which the subject vehicle is assembled
- Predecessor: previous model from the manufacturer in the segment or similar - leave empty if there is none
- Successor: subsequent model from the manufacturer in the segment or similar - leave empty if there is none
- Class: segment to which the subject vehicle belongs
- Body style: number of doors and body type of the subject vehicle
- Layout: layout of the subject vehicle's drivetrain/powertrain
- Platform: If the manufacturer uses vehicle platforms/modules/architectures, list the platform/module/architecture name upon which the subject vehicle is based
- Engine: nominal displacement in litres (L) and/or cubic inches (cu in) per displacement conventions, abbreviated engine configuration, notable valvetrain, notable fuel delivery, forced induction type
- Transmission: number of forward gear ratios, and the type of transmission (e.g. "6-speed manual, 8-speed automatic")
- Wheelbase: nominal wheelbase of the subject vehicle
- Length: nominal length (excluding any non-standard towing equipment) of the subject vehicle
- Width: nominal width (excluding door mirrors) of the subject vehicle
- Height: nominal height of the subject vehicle
- Weight: kerb/curb weight of a standard subject vehicle without options (if a range of bodystyles is offered, include a range showing the lowest and highest figures)
- Related: other vehicles which share a large majority of components and/or are based on the same platform as the subject vehicle. See Notes below for guidance on "Aka" vs. "Related".
- Designer: the name of the individual and/or the design firm credited for the design of the subject vehicle's body
- Sp: the spelling convention - British English spelling ("uk") is the default; entering "uk", leaving this parameter blank or omitting this parameter will cause the infobox to display the British English spelling. To display American English spelling, enter "us". Note: At this time, this parameter affects only the "Kerb weight"/"Curb weight" parameter.
Notes
- Aka versus Related: Aka is intended for alternate names in foreign markets (countries), where the subject vehicle is offered under a different brand and/or model name. Vehicles listed in this parameter typically do not have their own articles, instead redirecting to the original article. Related is intended for listing multiple vehicles offered in a single market which share the same platform. Cars in this field often have their own articles.
- See WikiProject Automobiles/Conventions for other conventions used within this template.
