- image should be used to display Template:Chess diagram
- moves shows the distinguishing moves
- ECO is the code or codes of the opening in the Encyclopaedia of Chess Openings
- birth should specify the event where this opening was first used, or the first known documented mention of it.
- nameorigin specifies where the name comes from
- parentopening defines the hierarchical parent of this opening
- AKA provides alternative names for the opening
