Usage

Name

  • For the named irregulars use the name followed by the designation e.g. Psamathe - Neptune X
  • Use the provisional designation otherwise

The following parameters for the references should be defined

  • ref_discovery
    • appears in the Discovery header
    • Suggested default <ref name="Discoverers_JPL">Discovery Circumstances [http://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/?sat_discovery (JPL)]</ref>
  • ref_orb_elems
    • appears in the Orbital elements header

The following parameters are optional (defaults provided)

  • orb_elems_type
    • appears in front of Orbital elements
    • defined default Mean
    • use Osculating or Best-fit when mean elements are not available
  • footnote_1
    • refers to the inclination
    • the default is to the ecliptic; preferred for the irregulars
    • use to the planet's equator if ecliptic is not available
    • try to avoid to the Laplace plane as this is requires the definition of the plane
    • try to avoid re-calculating the inclination
  • footnote_2
    • refers to the diameter
    • the default is based on the albedo
