Usage

This template, {{JPL+CAD}}, creates two external links to the JPL Small-Body Database Browser (SBDB) for a specific near-Earth object. The first link leads the general object page (labelled "JPL"), while the second links directly shows the close approach data section (labelled "CAD").

Parameter

The template only requires the body's unique identifier, such as a minor planet's number. For example:

Instead of an asteroid's number, several other identifiers are also possible:

  • {{JPL+CAD|2099942}} produces JPL · CAD, for 99942 Apophis using the object's SPK-ID instead
  • {{JPL+CAD|2012+UE34}} produces JPL · CAD, for provisionally designated asteroid Template:Mpl (use the "+"-sign)
  • {{JPL+CAD|104P}} produces JPL · CAD, for numbered comet 104P/Kowal (use number and letter P only)
  • {{JPL+CAD|P/1999+J6}} produces JPL · CAD, for unnumbered comet P/1999 J6 (note the "+"-sign)

For more information, and to create a single link to the "Close approach data" section, see template {{JPL}}
