Were Different, We're the Same is a 123 Sesame Street Book composed by Bobbi Jane Kates and illustrated by Joe Mathieu. The vivid characters from Sesame Street teach little children about racial harmonyt. Muppets, monsters, and humans compare noses, hair, and skin and acknowledge how extraordinary we are. However, as they look further, they also discover how much we are alike. [1]
Plot
The book starts with highlighting the fact that everybody is different. Each one has various types of noses. Even that noses might be different, it is there to do similar things like inhale, sniff, sneeze, and whiff.
Next comes the fact that hair is different. The pictures show how everybody, from characters on Sesame Street to normal individuals, all have distinctive hair. And then mouths, skin, eyes, bodies, and feelings, are completely clarified regarding them being diverse for everyone but then the same in so many ways.[2]
