The {{lcons}} template (link to consonant) is used to link to types of consonants (e.g. velar, retroflex, apical, etc.).

For example, {{lcons|alveolar}} is shorthand for [[alveolar consonant|alveolar]].

Multiple arguments can be specified; e.g. to link to a laminal dental nasal consonant (as in Template:Llang n), use

{{lcons|laminal|dental|nasal}}

which is shorthand for

[[laminal consonant|laminal]] [[dental consonant|dental]] [[nasal consonant|nasal]]
